Humor is the capacity of events to amuse and make people laugh. The term is derived from ancient Greek humoral medicine, which held that human health and emotion were controlled by the balance of bodily fluids known as humours.
People of all ages and cultures like humor. The ability to be amused, grin, or laugh at anything entertaining (such as a pun or joke) by the majority of people is referred to as having a sense of humor. Without a sense of humor, the hypothetical person would likely find the actions that produce it strange, eccentric, or even unreasonable.
