Humor is the capacity of events to amuse and make people laugh. The term is derived from ancient Greek humoral medicine, which held that human health and emotion were controlled by the balance of bodily fluids known as humours.
People of all ages and cultures like humour. The ability to be amused, grin, or laugh at anything entertaining (such as a pun or joke) by the majority of people is referred to as having a sense of humour. Without a sense of humour, the hypothetical person would likely find the actions that produce it strange, eccentric, or even unreasonable.
Although a person’s level of enjoyment is ultimately determined by personal preference, a variety of circumstances, such as place of residence, culture, maturity, level of education, intelligence, and context, can have an impact. Slapstick, like Tom and Jerry cartoons or Punch and Judy puppet shows, for instance, may be appealing to young children due to its physical characteristics.
