My grandfather Tim became my entire world after he rescued me from a devastating house fire when I was just a baby. He took on the roles of both my mother and father without hesitation. Growing up with him was a wonderful experience filled with packed lunches and kitchen dance sessions. Even though we had our occasional disagreements over chores and curfews we were a perfect family unit. He always promised that when the time came he would be the most handsome date at my high school prom.
