The car of a woman who disappeared with her daughter 23 years ago has been found.
A car belonging to Samantha Jean Hopper, who disappeared with her daughter 23 years ago in Arkansas,
has been found submerged in eight feet of water with human remains inside.
Adventures With Purpose, a nonprofit focused on solving cold cases, discovered the vehicle on Tuesday.
Hopper was last seen on September 11, 1998, en route to Little Rock. The Pope County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the remains will be sent for DNA testing.
They expressed condolences to the families. Hopper’s daughter, Dezarea, mentioned her mother was nine months pregnant when she vanished, and finding the remains brought some relief.
